Gaggi
Description
Hamlet of the town of Taormina since the first years of the XVII century, Gaggi was founded by the Arabs in the IX century: its name, in fact, derives from the Arabic Hagg and means "pilgrim". The Church of San Giuseppe was built in 1957 and is located in the main square of the town; the Church of San Sebastiano, dedicated to the patron Saint of Gaggi, dates back to 1576.
