Bagnoli Irpino is a nice town in the province of Avellino, on the bottom of the Picentini Mountains; it is famous especially for the Laceno flatland, an important winter and summer holiday resort, thanks to the modern skiing and snowboards lifts and the clear water of the Laceno lake, supplied by an underground river.
A humanist writer defined Bagnoli Irpino as "domus deorum" (Gods' home), due to the green walnut, chestnut and beech forests, ideal place for exiting excursions, looking for truffles.
