Castione della Presolana is a town in the province of Bergamo, set at the foot of the Presolana Massif, about 1000 meters above sea level, surrounded by forests of beech, fir and pine trees, in the wonderful frame of the Orobie Prealps. It is also known with the nickname of "pearl of the Orobie Alps", it is a renowned location of the Seriana Valley, a reference point both for winter tourism and for summer one, with a diversified supply according to tastes and interests.
Important archaeological finds, dating back to the Prehistoric period, reveal that the area was inhabited since the ancient times. The Church of San Rocco (XV century) and the Church of San Peder (XI century), in addition to houses in traditional rural style, worth a visit.
