Centola-Palinuro is a fantastic town that gives tourists unique sensations, thanks to its marvelous beach, bays, caves and underwater grottos and its untouched coast. For this reason it is one of the most popular touristic location in the Cilento coast.
It was founded by the Greeks in the VI century BC, as many relics of that period document.
Do not miss to visit the Blue Grotto, one of the most suggestive of the area: a myriad of reflections play with the long shapes of the stalactites. To visit also the Natural Arch, a huge rocky arch that stretches out into the sea. Moreover, Palinuro is also attractive under the naturalistic point of view: in fact many excursions can be organized in order to discover the hidden treasures of this area.
