The ancient "Regitano" is a small town in the province of Messina, probably founded by shepherds from Mistretta who spent here the winter months. In fact it was part of the fief of Mistretta until 1638, when it became a possession of the Colonna family.
The Church of Carmine, rebuilt in the XVII century on a pre-existing building, has a fine and richly decorated portal. We also suggest to visit the Mother Church, with a beautiful marble statue, and the Church of Madonna delle Grazie.
