The modern town of San Cipirello, in the province of Palermo, began to develop in the XVIII century, in an area inhabited since ancient times. It became a feud of the Beccadelli Bologna family.
In addition to the remains of a Saracen castle and the beautiful chirches of Anime Sante, Immacolata and Santa Maria Maria delle Grazie, we have absolutely to mention the Civic Museum, rich in material from the excavations on the nearby Monte Jato, where it is possible to admire a IV century b.C. theater, larger than the other one of Segesta, the agorà, enclosed on three sides by a Doric style colonnade, the Temple of Aphrodite and a IV century b.C. Hellenistic style house, with valuable mosaics and paintings.
