Terme Vigliatore is a town in the province of Messina, set between the Milazzo's peninsula and the promontory of Tindari, in front of the Aeolian archipelago. The place name derives from the homonymous river and it was already known during the Roman period, as the remains of a Roman villa, dating back to the I century AD reveal.
During the Middle Ages it was a fief of Quartalaro and was mentioned in a document of King Ruggero II in 1145.
Famous thermal resort of the island, in addition to the interesting Roman remains, it is also possible to visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, built on a pre-existing benedectine convent in the XVI century.
